Went to my second rehearsal for the local choir yesterday. Had to laugh when I saw this. Yep, life is different down south.
I'll keep going to this choir (even though it's pretty dire), it's kind
of amusing. In the women's choir on Wednesday we did what are basically
German drinking songs (I think), one about southern summer nights
(drinking wine in Italy), one about a little green cactus. Hilarious.
And then yesterday was the mixed concert choir, which is doing Cosi fan
tutte in a few weeks. So I have two weeks to learn two short pieces off
by heart and then have to dress up like a serving girl to sing in that.
Such a bizarre mix.
